ABOUT THE ARTIST


SCOTT D. ARENDT, A NATIVE OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST,  HAS BEEN PURSUING "LOW LIGHT" PHOTOGRAPHY THROUGH THE YEARS. HIS INNATE SENSIBILITY ALLOWS ONE TO FULLY EXPLORE HIS FASCINATION WIITH LIGHT. SCOTT STUDIED UNDER LAWRENCE MCFARLAND AND GLEN RAND AT COLORADO MOUNTAIN COLLEGE IN LEADVILLE, COLORADO, WHERE HE GRADUATED WITH HONORS. 

AS A MEMBER OF THE SOCIETY OF PHOTOGRAPHIC EDUCATION (SPE), HE HAS TRAVELED TO SYMPOSIUMS AND WORKSHOPS THROUGHOUT THE WESTERN UNITED STATES WHERE HE WAS INSPIRED BY SUCH WELL KNOWN PHOTOGRAPHERS AS ANSEL ADAMS, EDWARD WESTON AND MANY OTHERS. SCOTT HAS BEEN JURY ACCEPTED AT MAJOR ARTS FESTIVALS THROUGHOUT THE SEATTLE AREA AS WELL AS A GALLERY SHOWING IN BREMERTON WASHINGTON.

SCOTT IS KNOWN FOR HAVING A UNIQUE WAY OF SEEING AND IS WELL ON HIS WAY TO BECOMING MORE WIDELY RECOGNIZED IN THE ART OF PHOTOGRAPHY.
